The Gourmet Cheese Company on Rosemount Place is the sort of place you visit with the intention of buying one item, but leave with a basket overflowing with scrumptious wares to stock up the pantry.
Run by Michael and Kathryn Figueiredo who are always eager to help their customers explore both new tastes and old, they are purveyors of a range of local and European artisan and farmhouse cheeses, and work closely with the suppliers to ensure the best quality products reach their customers. A veritable feast for the eyes, they also have an entire wall adorned with all the accompaniments you could wish for, from seaweed crackers to local chutneys.
If you’re looking to upgrade a boring old salad, or just fancy a cheeky wine and cheese night, get yourself down to Gourmet Cheese Co. (Their Comté cheese is a firm favourite of ours!) There is sure to be something there to tickle your taste buds…
